​Prior to founding Monte Veritas Group, Mr. Orozco served over 20 years as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he held a range of high-impact leadership and operational roles across the globe.

Most recently, Mr. Orozco served in a diplomatic assignment as the FBI’s Legal Attaché in Rome, Italy, representing the FBI Director and leading a team based at the U.S. Embassy. In this role, he directed complex investigations involving transnational crime, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and cyber threats across Italy, Malta, San Marino, and the Holy See. Earlier, Mr. Orozco held the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge in the New York Counterterrorism Division, overseeing major terrorism investigations. At FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., he served as Unit Chief in the International Operations Division, managing FBI Legal Attaché offices across the UK, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

Mr. Orozco’s operational experience includes deployments with U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, conducting counterterrorism operations, developing intelligence, and investigating hostage situations involving U.S. citizens. He was the FBI Team Leader for critical international incidents, including the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and the Westgate Mall terrorist attack in Kenya the same year.

A veteran of the FBI’s enhanced New York SWAT Team, Mr. Orozco served for 11 years in tactical and crisis-response operations.

His outstanding service has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including:

• FBI Medal of Valor

• FBI Exceptional Performance Award for Leadership

• U.S. Department of Defense Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award

• Honorary degree from the Istituto Italiano di Criminologia in Vibo Valentia, Italy, for distinguished service in law enforcement

Before joining the FBI, Mr. Orozco served in the U.S. military and began his public service career as a police officer. He is a graduate of Yale University.
